Stephen Catling, Associate
Prior to Saints, Mr. Catling worked for Energis, a turnaround UK telecom provider, and subsequently
for Cable and Wireless, after it acquired Energis. Mr. Catling performed a number of roles, including
Strategy Analysis for the CFO's Business Planning team, and commercial Product Management for the company's
Data Networks offering. During this time, he was also the Chairman of the Industy Wholesale Ethernet Pricing
Workstream, leading negotiations on behalf of nine companies to secure price reductions on the wholesale
provision of commerical Ethernet services, overseen by the regulator, Ofcom. Latterly, Mr. Catling was
responsible for implementing an end-to-end Capex governance process across the merged company, controlling
a £240m annual budget. Prior to joining Energis, Mr. Catling had worked in both London and Tokyo for ABN
AMRO within Equity Research.
Mr. Catling was awarded a Distinction in his MBA from Oxford University's Said Business School, and
earned a First Class honours masters degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University.
